This fascinating ethnographic tour is designed for three days and two nights. All participants of the tour will visit oldest settlements of the Kola Peninsula, which are located on the coast of the White Sea – Umba and Varzuga villages. We will show you the center of artistic crafts on the White Sea. Get acquainted with weaving on a hand loom, pass a modeling master class ‘Pomeranian goats’ (ancient ritual cookies in the form of figures of birds and animals). Learn knitting and weaving from birch bark. But in addition to traditional crafts, you will see church and secular wooden architecture and get acquainted with the traditions and customs of the Pomors of the Terek coast.
The recreation center in the village of Umba is located on the White Sea coast in the southern part of Piri Island. All houses have active fireplaces, electric heating, electric kettles, and dishes. Russian bathhouse stands on the sea coast and designed for 4-6 people.
The Tersky coast is a wooded coast of the White Sea. Nature is very different from other places. It has its own microclimate; this place rich in mushrooms, berries, furs, fish rapids rivers and lakes. These places were developed by Russian people, the Pomors since the 11th century. The first Pomor villages Varzuga and Umba appeared in the 14th and 15th centuries.
