This fascinating historical and ethnographic tour is dedicated to the indigenous people of the Kola Peninsula – the Sami. They were the first, who settle in the Russian Arctic, and then for a long time and peacefully coexisted with the Pomors and Novgorodians who came here in search of furs and whale hunting.
The village of Lovozero is the center of the Sami cultural life. It is a place, where various Sami holidays and festivals are held, including international ones. It is often called the capital of Russian Lapland.
